We are celebrating Thirty Years

working together to create a safer world
for our children and families.

For the past 30 years we have presented thought provoking and inspiring topics at the NAEYC conferences. This year our seminar is titled “CEASE's 30th Anniversary Seminar: Media On, Media Off: Ways to Promote Children's Positive Development.” You will find a flyer for our seminar in this packet. We are also providing a handout of suggestions for healthy alternatives to media. You are enthusiastically encouraged to attend our seminar as well as our 30th Anniversary Celebration. Please don’t miss this opportunity for gathering information, networking, and having fun.
This year CEASE members will participate with others in celebrating Universal Children’s Day and the 20th Anniversary of the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child. Information regarding this special event at the NAEYC conference is included in this packet.
Think of the myriad of benefits you receive by being a member of CEASE! One benefit is the assurance that you are joining with like-minded educators and parents who share your commitment to creating a culture of peace – a safe, just and healthy world for children and families. More tangibly, as a member of CEASE, you receive an annual Fall Packet as well as the CEASE Newsletter in the spring. Our website, www.peaceeducators.org provides resources for parents and early childhood educators as well as links to a coalition of organizations working on issues of concern to CEASE members. You also get the opportunity to participate in our action alerts through ACT4CEASE@yahoogroups.com.
